Expedition 2003 no crank no start ground issue?
I have an Expedition 2003 5.4 xlt with a weird problem. The expi has power but won't even crank, so far I've done the following:
After hooking the starter relay to ground next to the door it now cranks but has no power to coils, fuel pump is still fine. If I remove the improvised ground wire from the starter relay it won't crank any ideas?
Background
Was replacing the ac system on the expi managed to replace the compressor (had to remove the battery and the pcm in order to do it) and attempted to replace the evaporators too but since I couldn't really remove the entire dash in order to get to it I gave up and decided to wait until I could clear more space in the hangar. After assembling everything back together went to take the expi to a shop for the vaccum needed for the ac but tada it won't start. Battery was low before so that's what I replaced first, after well the fusebox then compressor in case something was wrong, then after being told it might be the pcm took it out pins are fine cables are fine, no pats, fuel pump is working even fed gas directly to see if that was an issue. After giving up on what it could be a friend mechanic had a look on it went straight for the scanner but it couldn't connect or read anything went straight to the fusebox jumped the starter relay to ground using a wire and now it cranks but won't start went to check the coils and they had no spark.
any idea what it is?
- replaced the battery
- Checked ground connections
- checked the fuses
- Checked Fuel pump is OK
- tried a scanner but has no connection
- pats light is fine not blinking fast
- Coils have no spark
