Have output sensor problem 0720, where is it located on the trans
Ok, I have been getting the P0720 code and order the part ( output speed sensor circuit which I now have) but where the heck is the sensor on the transmission. I have looked everywhere. There is one sport on the front of the engine to the left of the belts or if your looking at the engine from the front of the vehicle ( drivers side) that has a similar looking sensor but I cant imagine that is it. I can’t find anything on the internet. I find a lot of stuff about the sensors on other makes and models but nothing specific to the 2013 expedition. I have looked at numerous videos and searched for schematics of the 2013 expedition.
Thanks

I have the same question. So far I keep getting " on the tranny" that's not really helpful. That's the part I do know. But WHERE? Driver side, passenger side, under something? Any other details would be helpful.
Both the Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor & the Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor are built into the leadframe which is the rigid wiring harness inside the transmission, it is not serviceable separate from the leadframe.
There is a recall that covers the leadframe depending on what fault codes are present and what the vehicle mileage is.
I would recommend bring the vehicle to your favorite dealer.
