Default Stereo removal

Does anyone know how to remove the radio from a 05 EB Expiction want to install a Satelite fm modulator....Thanks Joe

Removal and Installation

CAUTION: On vehicles equipped with a CD6 audio unit, interrupting battery power within 30 seconds of repowering will damage the audio unit. To prevent audio unit damage, do not disconnect the battery (or audio unit), reconnect the battery (or audio unit), and then disconnect it again within 30 seconds.

Vehicles with column shift


Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.
Vehicles with floor shift


Remove the instrument cluster center finish panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.
All vehicles


Remove the screws and grounding plate.

NOTE: Standard audio is shown, others are similar.

Disconnect the audio unit antenna lead-in cable and the audio unit electrical connectors, and remove the audio unit.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Great info but can u tell how to remove dash trim without damaging .I dont have a manual

Most Trim pieces are held in with clips attached to the back side of the peices. Tug lightly(sometimes a little more than lightly) only after you've looked for visable screws.
