SO here is my issue I live in MI it get pretty cold here, and i go to work very early in the am. When i would start my truck it would have a ticking sound then once warming it would go away. Then one day i went to work everything normal came back out for break, started up my tuck to go to gas station truck starts to misfire. So thought i had got bad gas put iso heet in it and Lucas oil in it does not work. Had Auto Zone guy tell me what was wrong cause check engine light was on and blinking. He tells me The EGR valve, also 7 and 8 are misfiring. I got a friend who works on cars he said maybe the coils packs. So we got new packs once we changed them out It works a lil Better now i get some type of acceleration. Only thing is its still ticking and i have no where near the power i used to have, my truck used to really go unless i was climbing a hill then at times it would hesitate. Now my buddy thinks it could be the lifters on 7 and 8 could be broken.

I need help ASAP i am burning gas on this thing like crazy i keep it parked as long as i can but its the only way i can get to work and i cant afford a new engine...
