I have a 2004 Ford Expedition 5.4 Eddie Bauer and the dipstick tube rusted and broke while I was driving and my fluid leaked out and the trans started slipping and not going in 2nd gear. I got it fixed and put new fluid in. And now it won't go in 3rd, it revs up like it's in neutral. I've never had transmission problems before this please help!

 

I realize you don't really want to hear this, but heat is a transmissions worst enemy and the loss of fluid causing the trans to slip generates loads of heat.

You might consider a trans shop for a diagnosis, but the extent of damage could only be determined by opening up the trans and looking..

Get a couple of opinions before spending a lot of $$$..
