I have an '02 Sport Trac 230k miles. Just replaced the thermostat housing and water pump. Pulled the upper air intake manifold off and cleaned everything up (threw out the foam sound dampenser..new seals. Noticed a bad oil leak from passenger side valve cover so I pulled that off. The cover has a small piece of broken plastic on the inside where the center left side (if youre facing the vehicle) bolt belongs. My dilemma is for the life of me I can't find a right side valve cover ANYWHERE. The left cover I can find no problem..but not the right. What gives? Sooo...over this and really looked forward to getting it back on the road today (it's my sons). Any ideas on locating another one? I did find an 02 at the salvage yard but dang sure hate to have to pull it! Thank you! Oh...Just for fun...check out what I found under the air intake manifold. Thought the foam (not in photo) waa a dead animal at first!
