Question Mystery part on a '95 Ford Explorer XLT...

This part has a coolant leak coming from the bottom. Does anyone know what this is?

It is leaking from the bottom of the metal section upon which this hose is connected.
It is located here:

Thanks!

Thanks! I know that this is might come across as a "dumb question," but I noticed that most of the dealers sell both a 35mm and 40mm version of this same thermostat housing for the 1995 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0L V6. I cannot seem to find which one is correct. If I enter my VIN to some of the auto parts stores, I am given the option for both (which makes no sense).

How would I know which part belongs in this particular model?

You might check with a dealership parts dept.
