2000 explorer xls transmission
after getting the seals on my 2000 explorer transmission fixed. will it leak? I got a price of $1500 to do the work. since my truck is 17 years old I worried about putting that kind of money and doesn't fix the issue
Hi Paul,
Only you know the condition of your vehicle and what you do with it.
A lot depends on what you want to do, regarding it's condition , how long you plan to keep it and available $$$$. There are loads of newer used vehicles for purchase and you wonder why they are there. A good guess might be the previous owner was in a similar boat and possibly felt maybe I should get rid of this thing before it costs me more $$$. Now it becomes someone else' headache.
There is considerable work involved in replacing some of those seals and it would be a good idea to find out what you are getting for $1500.
