drove to a buddies house, everything was good. turned car off went in had a beer. came out 30 min later started right up but wont move at all. park is the only thing that works.
any help would be great.

 

Did you check the usual things, fluid level etc., make sure the linkage from the inside of the vehicle is connected to the trans. Could be a torque converter problem, if so, that alone can be replaced if trans is not messed up. Trans has to come out, as you know, to do that.
