Default 2012 Explorer Coolant Temp Warning

Hi Everyone,

I started my car yesterday and got this alarm right away. The coolant couldn't have been over temp, since it was sitting overnight. Looking under the hood, I found these two wires "cut." I'm comfortable splicing them back together, but I don't know the part number of this connector. Can someone help? 2012 Explorer, XLT, 3.5L, FWD

Passenger side, at the intake manifold.

Looks like it's an 'inline' connector for/off of the CHT (cylinder head temp) sensor.. Hard to see the wire colors at the cut (s/b BU/GY and GN/WH) but you could always release the connector terminals from the plastic connector and solder the wires back on to the short cut off ends and re install.
Or, if an inline, you could remove both male/female connectors and use insulated spade connectors with some dielectric grease etc. and eliminate the OE connector.

It looks like there's a service part available...
