Got the nasty AC funk smell in the old ladies Explorer. Some help on the AC drain hose location so I can clean it out?

It is generally located on the passenger side to the right of center under the firewall in the engine compartment. Some you may not be able to spot without the help of a mirror or going under the vehicle. Some have an ordinary hose and others have a rubber boot with a flat area that opens to allow water to exit and then close to prevent fumes from entering the vehicle. If the "fragrance" problem is present sometimes you may need to insert a short piece of wire to clear the collection of debris so the moisture can drain. Expect a rush of water once you open it.
Also , your vehicle has a cabin air filter which should be changed frequently to help keep outside particles and dust from coming into the vehicle when the outside air is being heated or cooled while the blower is operating. That filter is generally accessed by removing a few retainers just under the windshield on the passenger side, and you may need to open the hood to get to that area.
