How do I move the seat forward in a 2013 explorer with a shot horizontal motor so I can take the seat out? OR Can I change the horizontal motor out without removing the seat?

 

Yes you can change the horizontal motor without removing the seat....lift the chair to its highest position, remove the two bolts on the front lift mechanism and the seat will roll backward so you can access the motor. you will need to pop a lot of harness mounts,,,,take pictures so you don't have to guess how it goes back together. Now I'm waiting for motor delivery...I didnt find any method to move the seat forward for rear bolt access.
