As I see it, there was a power supply problem that may have all been corrected with the battery replacement.
Unfortunately, increasing the power available does not always correct problems with poor connections which could still be present.
We need to know what codes , if any, are present NOW.
Codes used to be erased by just disconnecting the vehicle battery for a period of time. On some vehicles the codes cannot be erased that easily anymore and the vehicle MUST be run through a particular cycle matching the conditions required before the codes will go away .
What it is saying , the repair must be the correct one or the problem is still present.

As Noted, the Explorer is my Daughter-in-Law's & they are getting ready to leave for Vacation & have since rented a Vehicle for their trip. Of course, we have not taken it back to the 2nd Opinion person to have the Codes ran again. However, the Battery had been replaced when He ran it the first time & those Hard Codes existed from the computer's memory. As soon as I am able, I will try & get the Explorer back to the gentleman that ran them for me, to see what appears now. The Mechanic that worked on the vehicle initially, was 'our' mechanic & we feel a bit responsible for these issues still existing, since we referred him. Of course, no one is perfect at their craft, but we feel badly since they've spent nearly $4,000 in repairs in the past 16 months. We're hopeful that we can find a resolve for these issues, especially since this is her daily driven vehicle for work & transporting our Grandchildren.
Your advisements have been appreciated & I'm sorry that I wasn't more helpful in my understanding. IF we can find out more Information a bit later, I'll be happy to post what I learn, if that's okay. Thanks again.
