Hello,
I'm new to this form and need some help, I have my 2004 explorer for few months now and had no lights, but few days ago after the snow storm, i got the ABS light is ON and the 4x4 High light is flashing. It flashes for 8 times and then turns off for few minutes and then starts flashing again.

does any one else have any issue like this and what is the fix. any help will be appreciated.

 

Try to have the vehicle checked for codes.
There will probably be a code for a wheel speed sensor signal.
The code will tell you which side and you can go from there and either replace the half shaft yourself or have a shop do it. Very likely a broken exciter ring for the ABS signal.
