about to buy a '97 V-8 AWD 121K miles
Hey guys great forum here.
I'm thinking about buying a 97 V-8 with AWD 121K miles for $4K from a private owner. Supposedly has new shocks, ball joints (recently) and always maintained.I believe the guy as he doesn't seem the type to know much about cars to say the "right" things. I drove the truck and it drove pretty nice, again, I don't know what a bad one feels like but it rode decently.
Anything I need to worry about? I admit I don't know much about these trucks so I'm a bit out of my element. The mileage scares me as I'm not used to putting out $$$ for a vehicle with over 100K miles.
Any info advise would be appriciated. Thanks!

120K really isn't 'high' mileage, but if I were concidering an alike purchase, I'd make sure the service intervals were followed, or close to, especially the trans since its a big ticket item.. If the services were documented (supposedly sounds like they weren't shown) and the rig wasn't used for towing, severe use (any body repairs ect.) and looks clean and well cared for, then it lessens the risk involved in a higher mileage purchase..
WOHOO...we just had a small earthquake while typing !!!!
