Battery light is on and gas tank is full but Guage is not at full explorer 2010
Good day to everyone and thanks for everyone working on or contributing to the forum. I have 2 issues and hope to find answers here. I have an explorer 2010 that has the battery light always on. I have changed the battery but that did not fix the issue. Then I was told that it could be the alternator so i went to the authorized dealer and purchased a new alternator but that did not fix the issue.
The other issue is that when i fill up the tank it says it is full but when i start the engine the Guage shows that it is not full and not sure what is the cause. Can anyone help me with these two issues I would really appreciate it

It does sound like there is a poor connection where power comes into the vehicle.
The alternator is controlled by the vehicle computer (PCM) If the PCM ,Powertrain control module, is not receiving the correct info it cannot deliver correct instructions.
My first suggestion would be to check all the fuses, the ones in the engine compartment (Power Distribution Panel) and the ones inside the vehicle . In the owner's manual should be a diagram of the panels.
If the vehicle starts fine , the problem is in the power coming into the inside of the vehicle. Until we verify all the fuses are good , no further replacement of parts is indicated.

To be honest with you I do not recall if problem occured before or after changing PCM. It was COVID attack at its peak and as you know at that time people are concerned only about what damages COVID is causing
