Default Belt tensioner basics...

Hi gang!
Could someone please explain to me how to relieve the belt tension on my '98 SPORT?
I see no way of prying it, and when I attempted to use the bolt on the front of the tensioner to rotate it in the direction that is molded into the assembly, the bolt began to loosen, so I stopped.
I was concerned that if I continued to the end of the bolt, the tensioner would come out of therelike a bullet zeroed in on my nose!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Frank

Sorry for missing this one...If you haven't already figured it out, you should see a square hole in the belt tensioner arm. This is where you place a 3/8" drive rachet. You swing the arm in one direction or the other to pull the tension off of the belt for replacement and installation.
