coolant sensor

Default coolant sensor

looking all over on a 2003 explorer to find the coolant temp sensor looked at a picture and says it behind the thermostat ?

You need to get more specific because certain models use what is now called a cylinder head temp sensor in place of a coolant temp sensor.

you are right it is a cyl head temp sensor
