Default Engine Clatter

98 Explorer XLT. 2WD, SOHC, 125K
"Sometimes", (Every 5th start or so, I get a very noticible clatter coming from the engine. Oil Pressure Guage jumps to normal right away. Sounds like it comes from valve covers. Any suggestions on what it could be and price to fix is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
LB

Try changing the oil and filter. With 125k you should use a slightly heavyer oil like 5/30 insted of 5/20.

Could be the timing chain tensioner kit needing installed. There is a TSB on this problem, but it's not covered by warranty.
