Someone respond to this post please.. does a K n N exhaust or any off brand (soemthing on ebay) exhausts really give you an extra 50 miles per tank of gas?!???? i Have a v8 5.0L 2000 ford explorer and i get about 300 miles to 21 gallons of gas. Thanks for any help!

K&N does not make exaust systems.As far as the gas milage I dont think so

Flowmaster says their exhausts will only give u about 1-3 miles.

I tried a k&n filter and throttle body spacer and it gave better gas mileage plus little more growl at the intake.

Likely to get a little better economy if you can stay off the pedal on the right. Problem is most exhaust system make car sound so good people want to run them harder, therfore getting worse mileage. As an analogy though any free flowwing exhaust will improve just from a physics standpoint. I.E. if you exhaled through a coffee stir stick..vs a full size straw. Which one would be easier for you to get a breath back in?

yes but you only may get an 10-15 hp and a xtra 30miles highway not city i hade one on my old f-150 '1984' v-8 and it gave me better fuel on the highway but not much in the city
