Default Heavy condensation on inside of windshield/windows

Over the past few weeks this has been happening on and off… I can’t figure out why. I first I thought maybe the wife left the windows cracked but it happened once even after I drove it. I know we’ve had some crazy temp variations lately up here in the north east but this shouldn’t be happening. I mean it’s everywhere… from windshield to back windows to front dash to headrests. Could my recirc door be stuck open? But why is only once in a while?

First ,suggest you check the coolant level in the engine compartment, if low possible heater core leak. If OK, then water has found a way into your vehicle and it just needs a way to dry out.

It would help if you wiped some of it dry, that you could get an idea of where it is coming from front or rear. If the floor mat is full of water , that will take some time to dry out.

Yea there does seem to be a bit of water on the driver-side floor under the mat. Heater core is usually on the passenger side though isnt it? I wonder if it could be clogged moon roof drainage?

Yo could be more right than you think, now all you need to do is prove it .

If you were able to run some water over the closed moon roof and watch the left front of the dash ,you might get your answer.

Ya it’s snowing out there now so I’ll wait till it warms a bit. You think there’s any harm in throwing some “warm” water over it? Not warm enough to crack anything frozen… just enough to maybe loosen up any ice that’s frozen in the ducts?

We try to think positive, but the stuff you might melt might just open it up enough for MORE to come inside. Not sure just where the driver's side drain is located, but might be a consideration to find out and work back from there. What do you think ?
