Default HELP, PLEASE

Am working on a '91 Explorer and have discovered gasoline in the oil. Can anyone tell me why or how this could have happened?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

when you drive your car is it getting up to opperating temp? If you are only taking it for short drives and it stays coldyour engines rings dont work properly and you will get fuel seepage into your crank case. It is a more common problem on the V8s and 6s than on the smaller engines.
