Hello all, brand new to the forum here. I am a member on contour.org, and corral.net. Anyways, I have a 1998 Explorer, Eddie Bauer with the 302 motor in it. I have a few issuses I need some help with. First of all, when I start the car, there is a squealing coming from the engine. I have narrowed it down to the pulleys ( I hope). I notice that when I accelerate, it goes away. When I am at idle, it sounds like metal grinding. Any help there? Also, my heat doesn`t work. A few weeks ago, it was only coming out at one temp, hot. Then I turned the car off, turned it back on and there is not heat. When the heat went out, the squeaking also went. Could this be all related? Thats what I need help with. Thanks in advance for all the help.
