i just baught a 01 super crew with a 5.4 and im getting like 13 mpg is that about right and how can i make it better

 

That's about right!
Some of these things you already know,
Keep the tires properly inflated, depending on where you drive keeping it under 60-65 MPH, Try to keep it in overdrive as much as possible, don't carry extra weight if you don't have to, and forget where passing gear is unless really necessary also regular maintenance is important.
