08 f150 5.4 runs super rough
My 08 f150 5.4 3 value is running super rough, shaking the entire cab and seems to have little to no power.
I had oriellys read the codes and the were
P0022 - Intake A Camshaft Position timing- over retarded (bank 2)
P0305 - cylinder 5 mis fire
P0316 - misfire within first 1000 revolutions
P01000 - Drive test cycle not complete
I replaced the cam and crank sensor, cylinder 5 plug and coil. And it stills runs like crap.
What am I missing?

If you have a scan tool with live data i would watch the cylinder misfire to check if only cylinder 5 is missing or if other cylinders are also missing.
Do you hear a loud ticking noise? Google 5.4 follower noise for a example of this noise.
Fords seem to run best on Motorcraft spark plugs and run worse on Bosch sparkplugs, other brands reliability are in between the two.
Based on the fault codes I would guess that the bank two phaser is bad, I would replace the phaser, the solenoid, all the followers and all the lifters on the passenger side. Of course if a follower has failed and ground a groove in a camshaft lobe also replace the camshaft.

after messing with it a little more it stops shaking past about 1.5k rpms. So Im starting think it’s not a cam phaser issue.
I’m trying to steer clear of the bigger money jobs for right now
Apply power and ground to the correct pins on the oil solenoid in question, only do this for a second at a time, if its working there will be a noticable change in how the engine is running.
Remove the valve cover and inspect the phaser for damaged/bent teeth that the sensor uses and for visible oil gunk on it, inspect all the followers for looseness/wear and inspect the camshaft lobes for any grooving, look down into the timing chain as best you can and see if the plastic guides are intact and if the timing chain looks correct.
Both of these are fairly simple and the only things you should have to buy is a new valve cover gasket and a small tube of silicone.
