1991 f150 5.0l transmission question
Hey guys so I am pretty well rounded (especially older hoopties). The people in my life are always trying to deal me as a mechanic, just to be corrected that I am 'a well rounded parts changer'. Any who, I have a 91 f150 with a 302 in it (auto transmission). The transmission code on the door sticker is T.
. With that being said, transmission is shot. No question to it, however it's not much of a loss to me, seeings how I would prefer a 5-speed manual transmission instead anyways.
So my question is what transmissions can I use, and what kinda insight can I get from you guess as far as what to expect, look out for, things to consider, ect.?
thanks for any (useful knowledge)
