Default 2002 F150 Lariat Engine upgrade

Hey all,
I have a 5.4L that will be getting rebuilt soon due to the current 268,000 miles on it. Not knowing too much about what can go in, do they make a big bore or stroker kit for this block?? I understand smog could be an issue with wanting to change the cam as well, just looking for some good ideas for what I can do with this block. The tranny will stay the same especially having 4x4 and don't want to change the gearing. Any help is appreciated.

You could puch the cylinders out from 90.2mm (3.552 in) to 93.5 mm (3.68 in) and turn it into a 5.8L since the 5.4 and the 5.8 versions are the same animal and then get a performance chip for a 2002 F-150 with a 5.8L engine. Or you could force feed the 5.4L like the Lightning.

It's cryin' shame he couldn't punch it to a four inch bore.

Perish the thought that we should use inches. We're all being forced to think metric because 'it's more accurate'. Whatever!

Tell me about it...It's a pain when they ask "How many mm is it?"...And I'm like "WHAT?"..."Are you for real"?..."I just want to put in a plane ole' grade 8 bolt and it has to be 3" long".

I want my cast iron big block back that I can use and abuse with no worries of hurting it...

I don't like the metric system even though it's based on 10 but, just give the the customary standard and I'm happy screw the way other people want it or the way they think it should be I'm old school all the way
