2005 f-150 lariat
i have a 2005 f-150 lariat with 67,000 miles. The truck as a ticking noise...i was told from ford it's not the lifters. Three mechanics told me it's the injectors. I changed them all and i still have the ticking...it sounds worse then before. Has anyone had this problem...please let me know. Thank you!!!

Can you tell if the noise is louder from the front of the engine than anywhere else?
Have you had the oil changes done as recommended and installed the PROPER oil as recommended?
The reason I ask is depending on where the noise is originating could be something going on with the variable valve system.
Sometimes an exhaust leak can produce a ticking sound.
The low mileage usually doesn't produce big problems unless lube specs get into the picture.

I did have a problem with my 06 Explorer with a 4.6L 3V motor. Had a cam follower chip and give me a noise. Replaced all cam followers on that head and also all lifters. It occurred at about 85K and I did drive it for about 2 weeks before checking it out. I use nothing but 5 W 20 Motorcraft and change oil every 3500 miles. The Explorer now has 180K on it and have had no other problems. Most of my Fords go at least 300K before I give them to one of the kids and they drive them for a few more years.
