Hey guys,

I have a 2011 F150 that is having issues with the gas gauge. The truck is turned off, I fill the truck up with gas, and the digital gauge and fuel needle both match stating I have a full tank of gas. The problem is around 3/4 of a tank. My gauges are then unreliable. They will fluctuate all over the spectrum. I may have 3/4 of a tank one minute and then below half a tank the next minute. Of course I took the truck to the mechanic and he ran diagnostics, checked the fuse, etc.. He ended up replacing the fuel pump / fuel sending unit which wasn't cheap. That didn't fix the problem and he's not sure what the fix may be.

I don't want to take my truck to the dealership, but it's looking like that may be the case.
