2012 F150 steering problem
I have a 2012 F-150 Ecoboost with electric power steering. Soon after I begin driving and making some turns of angles beyond a couple of degrees, I get the Service AdvanceTrac warning on the dash. If I move to the Truck Apps on the dash, it shows my front wheel angle stuck at whatever angle they were when the warning popped up. It resets when I turn the truck off and on again and sometimes just while driving.
It's throwing codes u0428, c1963,c1728, and b1596.
Finally, the steering wheel does not automatically return all the way to center. While power steering feels intact there is some minor resistance to get it back to center and minor steering adjustments.
This all began at once. I'm sorry, I'm not much of a motorhead to share more details beyond that.
The auto shop is a little confused too. They reprogrammed the steering in accordance with the TS regarding the issue.
