2013 F-150 security issue?
Try to remote start the truck with fob, you know "lock-start-start", engine turns over but won't engage.
Physically get in the truck, turn the key, same thing.
This has happened a few times before, usually if I walk away and let it sit 15-20 minutes and try it without the remote start, then it starts with the key.
Seems like for some reason the security lock out thinks I'm trying to steal my own truck.
Any thoughts?

No anti theft light appears. Went back out this evening and tried again, no luck.
Popped the hood, looking for loose connections, found none.
Slammed the hood, reached into the cab and turned the key, it STARTS! Twice!
Still no clue as to what is going on. but if getting mad and slamming the hood works, I guess I'll do it!

What you might consider,
Something must move when you slam the hood, so,,, if you can manage to either have someone stay in the vehicle and hold the key in the start position while you carefully touch/tap various connections until the starter starts to operate ,OR just touch one area at a time and go to start the engine. After you hit the problem area and the vehicle starts , you can look deeper into what is going on there.
If you will be using a person to hold the key in the start position,,,,,,,,,,,,NEVER,,, stick your hands in any area where they could get damaged.by any moving parts !!
