I just go a2016 f150 king ranch that had a prole front grill G damage. I replaced the grill but when truing to replace headlight i have a16 pin connector but everything I get is a pin connectio. Any suggestions to help
If your new headlights are LEDs and you have factory halogen headlights, you will need to buy the "halogen to LED" conversion harness, which can cost you $300 alone.
You will also need to use forscan (for windows) and a laptop, and also buy vLinker FS USB adapter to program your BCM module. Without the programming your new headlights will probably light up but flickering
If it's not too late you might want to return your headlights and buy a new one with halogen bulbs, then you swap out the halogen and get LED bulbs (canbus ready one)
If you want to DIY and make your own plug-n-play conversion harness, first you need to identify your female connector off your headlight harness.
Let say Motorcraft WPT-1731 is the repair harness like this, is that what you have?
Without cutting your factory headlight female connector you will need to look for the male connector to plug into it.
And this seller sells the male + female combo at: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265880804079
Like this below:
You just need to use male connector, of course qty 2 for a pair. So you might want to ask the seller if he sells just the male, and you need qty 2. You also need some 16 to 20 AWG wires. Once all wires are crimped, you have just a so-called pigtail, so no cutting to your factory wires and lower your truck's resale value that's most important. This DIY project is definitely doable without paying $300. I don't know what new headlights you have and how the connector looks like, so you will need to locate a female connector that can plug into your headlight, to turn the pigtail into a harness.
