2017 f150 frame damage
Good afternoon all,
I was involved in a 4 car accident, I was the 3rd vehicle involved, sitting at a light when a Chevy Silverado rear ended the dodge Dakota behind me which slammed him into me and pushing me 5' + into a trailer in front doing front end damage to my truck, upon first inspection looked to just be rear bumper damage but after getting under the truck passenger side of frame is buckled, not sure how much these frames cost but I'm being told 2 different stories, it's totaled and insurance company will replace frame, any input would be greatly appreciated, meeting with adjuster on Tues!
Thanks in advance

I was in an accident with my 2015 F-150 about $5000 in damage to the front end. It didn't look to bad but once they took it apart the frame was bent. They had to replace the whole frame, not enough damage to total the truck. They say the frame swaps are easier and safer than trying to straighten the bent one. Good luck
Well to me that doesn't make the truck whole! As you now have diminished value cause of structural damage even though they've replaced entire frame, I could potentially lose upwards of 40% diminished value,
They replace frames and or sections of frames all the time. My guess is that they will replace the rear section of the frame, it's done often. When my 13 STX was hit head on they were going to replace the front section of the frame until total damage exceeded value of truck. BTW that front section of frame was $4800, available only from Ford. Rear section is supposedly less costly but I'm not sure how much.
Lucky you, replacing partial section of Frame does not make truck whole in my eyes as now you lose value in vehicle, and I'm sure cost of frame has gone up considerably since they redesigned the frames from 15 up this sucks considering its a brand new truck and I'll probably lose up to 40% diminished value
