Default 2018 F150 V8 5.0 problems

Since 2010 I have owned 3 Ford 150's with V8's
First One I did 450,000 miles. No engine problems.
Second one I did 420,000 miles. No engine problems.
Third one
I have only 141,000 miles. Truck has a lifter making noise. Two different mechanics are suggesting I need to change engines.

Their research said Ford had a problem with this 2018 engine referencing the timing chain, lifter guides and other things I did not understand.

Based on my mileage I have changed oil every month.
Any one heard of this problem? Since I am out of warranty Ford dealer probably not willing to help

Though the 5.0 is a good engine I would have to agree with both shops, if it is indeed a lifter issue then from a shop/dealer point of view replace the engine.
If I were doing the work to my own vehicle and all I had to replace was a lifter I would just do that and not replace the engine.
The reasoning for why I would replace a customer engine is that while the mileage is not yet insanely high it is to the point of parts starting to wear out and I do not want a come back a month or two after I repair the lifter for something else in the engine to **** the bed and then get blamed for screwing up the lifter issue.
I had a 5.4 that had a broken timing guide with 160K-170K miles on it and my dealer had the owner sign a document that stated very clearly that we could not guarantee the longevity of the engine and were merely fixing the problem we had found with no guarantee of unrelated engine damage later due to normal wear and tear that would not be covered under any warranty by us or ford. I replace everything related to timing that engine had, chains, guides, tensioners, VCT phasers, VCT solenoids. If the customer was not a good customer or had much higher mileage we would have said to just replace the entire engine.
