Default 2019 10 Speed F150 Torque converter issues

So.. I bought a new F-150 in 2019. I stopped doing a bunch of towing so I traded in my reliable 6.7 for this... Anyway, like a day or less after I drove it off the lot it was shifting super hard, and wouldn’t upshift after letting off the throttle. It wouldn’t engine brake though like it was in too low of a gear it would just stay at high rpms almost like it was looking for a gear.

I called Ford and they assured me that it was some kind of computer learning trying to figure out my driving habits or some crap like that.

called again at about 2000 miles and they said the same thing, then finally conceded that it was just how it was. It was kind of annoying but I figured out how to drive it so it wasn’t that annoying. Then at 35,000 miles I started noticing that it wouldn’t move if I didn’t let it warm up in the mornings, if I put it into reverse too soon it would sit there till I toggled back to park then reverse again. I learned that if I just let it run for 5 minutes in the morning before driving it would work fine. Then, it got to a point that as soon as I turned it on it would lurch hard forward like two inches at startup. So I didn’t want to risk bumping into the garage lol so I brought it in. It’s been in for a week because “the torque converter is failing its test”

I called the dealership to ask for an update and they said they can’t find the part... and can’t give me an eta until they locate a new torque converter. (And also tried to give me the run around on warranty saying it wasn’t powertrain .. but they now say it’s covered)

Has anyone else run into this? Is there some kind of national Torque Converter Shortage? How long do they realistically expect me to have a vehicle out because they are no torque converters that they can even place an order on? What would you guys do?

We are having some parts issues with stuff on back order, the supply chain is spread out internationally so covid is screwing with even basic parts being available and its been going on for long enough that the reserve of parts normally held across the country have largely dried up.
