I have 2022 F150 XLT 304a package. The other night I went to drive off and console shifter would not move out of park. I have since pulled the release lever under the steering column to get moved, but as soon as go back to park it no longer works. Any thoughts or suggestions on why this might be or ideas to resolve? Thanks in advance.

 

There's a switch associated with the brake pedal so that the pedal has to be pushed to allow the gear shift to move out of park.My suggestion on your 2022 is to have the dealer fix the problem under warranty. No reason for you to work on it and you already figured out the release lever so it can be driven there.
