Question 4.9 L 1983 F-150 Clutch Problem

My truck has been sitting for 5 years and i swapped out the fuel tank,master cylinder,brake booster,steering gearbox, and carburetor, It finally starts and the idler is too high so i adjust it, (all the fluids were changed) when push the clutch in to shift gears, it just grinds, can someone help me? (the clutch worked when it was parked five years ago)

Your vehicle most likely has a hydraulic clutch system. Check that there is fluid in the clutch master cyl. (Uses brake fluid).
Check if the hose/line from the clutch master cyl to the slave cyl on the trans has not leaked out the fluid.

Thanks, but it was a stupid problem because the transfer case selector was half way between 2hi and 4hi thats why it wasnt moving
