Default 79 ford f150 buy or pass?

Hi I'm pretty new here but I'd thought I'd ask some opinions on a purchase I've been on the fence about. So one of my friend's friends has a non running 79 ford f150 for sale for 300 bucks. Has a 302 v8, Like I said it doesn't run, I'm not sure what he's done to try to get it running (sounds like not much) and the truck has some rust. BUT it's 300 bucks. So pass or buy?

Do you like to do body work ?
Do you like to do auto mechanical work?
Do you have a healthy reserve to fund this type project?

Last question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,do you like yellow pick up trucks, lol?

Depending on what it looks like underneath,if a lot of rust due to salt , I would consider having someone with some automobile experience look it over for you .

Could be a $300 find, OR a $-----------------------------money pit.

If it doesn't prove out to be a runner/builder, you should be able to make some coin parting it out. IMHO, mid/late 70's F series were some of the best trucks FOMOCO ever built. Simple to work on, reliable, and command a good price today for a clean example...
