Just bought my first F150, has the 5.0 EFI, replaced the plugs and wires...ect..drives fine around town, but get it out on the interstate or dirve for a long distance, it starts to cut out, like its not getting enough fuel, then it will smooth out, and then it will do it again , smooth out and do it again, over and over,,,drinks gas like a hog when this happens...when i shut it off, and go into a store, and then come back out, it runs fine till it going down the highway again...can someone please help...dont have much money to spend on it...

 

A first quick check , remove the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator and see if there is any gasoline in it. If so the regulator is defective and needs to be replaced.
