94 f150 wont shift into gear

Default 94 f150 wont shift into gear

my truck had been driving great until one day where it just stopped going into gear, it didnt gradually stop going into gear or have trouble shifting, it just stopped all of the sudden. can anyone help

Check to see if your linkage came off the transmission.

where is that exactly haha,im not exactly vehiculat literate. i know where the tranny is but is the linkage on top side bottom, and is it justsome wire unplugged or something,i was guessing it was electrical.

Also, are you sure it has fluid in it? I assume we are talking about an automatic.

yea it is an automatic, i checked the fluid when i had the problem and it said it was good so. does the linkage just look like something that just clips in

Does the shifter 'click' though all the ranges on the shift indicator? If the linkage comes off the shift lever will 'free wheel' for the most part with very little resistance or shift selection 'feel'.. The linkage is on the left side of the trans (drivers side).. Here's a pic of the cable, bracket, and the shift lever connection.. All clip on..
