I got the truck from someone who had no Idea wat he was doin. The way the wires run though looks like thats the way the should hook up. Like the way they are factory ran It goes right on the solenoid.

Since no one has responded to your reply, there should be one heavy gauge cable that comes from the battery positive terminal and connects to one of the large terminals of the relay. The other heavy cable from the starter assy attaches to the other large terminal of the relay. Nothing else should be connected to that terminal. there should be a small gauge wire that comes from the key switch start terminal and that is the only one that connects to the small terminal of the relay. There may be other RED wires that connect to the terminal that comes from the battery. They have fusible links in them and supply the rest of the vehicle with battery voltage. Either the wires are mixed up when reinstalled or the relay is defective. One thing you can do is, don't connect the cable from the starter to the relay. When you connect the positive battery cable to the battery nothing should happen. then when you turn the key to the start position you should hear that relay click which would now connect the starter to the battery for starting. If you get that result and you hear the relay open when you release the key from the start position it should be OK to connect the cable from the starter to the relay. Nothing else gets connected to that terminal.

Everything is hooked up exactly where is supposed to be before the starter was hooked up wrong I sent them corrected that and now that when you turn the key over the solenoid on the fender wall clicks does what is supposed brand new. Starters brand new I took it back to be tested it works fine something just not telling started a turn on when I turn the key. You can see hear the solenoid click everything like a said does what is supposed to do

If the relay is working and the starter worked when tested , get another relay.
One of the things we do to prove out the relay is to take a screwdriver and jump the two large terminals of the relay. If the cables are OK , and the starter is good it should operate. Just make sure the parking brake is applied and the vehicle is in neutral or park if automatic trans.
