96 f150 transmission trouble

Default 96 f150 transmission trouble

I go 1996 f150 extended cab with automatic transmission. Blew transmission lines loss alot of fluid.fixed lines then drove 4 miles and parked. Now it won't move at all any ideas as to why would be greatly appreciated. Trans was rebuilt 5 yrs ago so that should be good still. Odd part is after fixing it drove and shifted fine. Please help.

Fixed line/s, and replaced lost fluid (?). Checked idling in park after warmed up...

Sure did in a level parking. Showed a bit over but not a whole lot. If that could be issue I can loosen line and drain some.

If you drove 4 miles with little/no transmission fluid you may have caused some major damage.

Would it still let it work for the test trip and then go out. Just doesn't make sense. And honestly it was more 2/10 of mile after the line went and wasn't going fast.

That is odd, you may want to drop the pan and do a flush just to see if there is any metal in it.

So I had a local mechanic look at n said it bad but didnt drop pan is that possible to tell.

Did he install a pressure test gauge in the tap plug and check for spec line pressures?

Pan wouldn't need to be dropped to test for line pressure and if not moving,, would be a first step check point, maybe more so if the trans/pump was lube starved. If it's full and not making pressure, could be pump related. Taking a look into the pan can sometime give an indication of a hard parts failure..
