Default 97 f150 oil leak

my f150 leaks oil from the back of the motor somewhere. it is not leaking a lot. a mechanic suggested it is a leak in the head gasket. does anyone have suggestions?

Look to see exactly where it is coming from. The engine will be oil covered up to a certain point, and at that point is approximately where the leak is. That will give you an idea of what needs to be replaced so you can research what it will take to fix it.

I would check the head gasket, pcv valve, and maybe the rear main seal depending on where the leak is coming from. those are the most common ones towards the rear of the engine. good luck.
