Default 98 F150 Rear Window Leak

First, I want to say I searched for any threads on this issue, and I couldn't find any. If I'm starting a new thread on a current issue, I apologize to members and the administrators.

I have a 98 F150 XLT without the sliding rear window, and my rear window leaks bad on the right side during a hard rain. I have some mechanical ability, and if anyone has any suggestions on how I can stop the leak, I would appreciate them. Or, is this a problem I'm going to have to pay a glass company money I can't spare to get the leak stopped?

Thank you all.

A good thorough examination of the rubber seal around the window is called for..
Sometimes rust will form between the cab and the rubber and raise the edges allowing moisture to enter.

They do make a clear sealer in a tube to seal places where the seal is not effective.

The area must be clean and free of rust. Suggest you have a good body shop look at the problem and get a professional opinion of what you can do to get rid of the problem.

Thank you. I think you're right. This is something I've never tried on these trucks.
