Acc. voltage
I'm just wondering,i found out what the amp draw was ... It was my brand new stereo that has to go back.. lol but when I tested the acc lead going to the radio it goes from 12 then drops down to like 3 volts then back up to 12 or 9.. what gives here....

Thanks again, I was just courious is to why the accessory lead would have voltage drop like that...........

There’s two power circuit feeds and/or protections for the radio , when you say ACC, do you mean hot at all times/KAM for the audio unit?
Or, the voltage drop out is at the connector when the key is in ACC?
Voltage checked at the power distribution box, or at the connector pinout itself?

When I test the Accessory lead to the radio with the radio disconnected I get a voltage from 12-3 volts and it fluctuates too..It's never just 12 volts always fluctuates.

Are you saying you pulled the fuse then checked at the radio connector?
What I meant was,, remove the fuse and with the Key ON you’ll have voltage present on ‘one’ of the leg sockets for the fuse/s.. One fuse will have Key On switched power distribution, the other fuse is Hot at all times...Does the voltage fluctuations happen there?
Reason I ask is, I’ve seen some types of fuse taps/adapters that partner alongside the fuse leg,, and sometimes what happens is the leg of fuse is thicker and can over stress the tension hold on the fuse when inserted causing contact issues after the adapter has been removed.
May not be your case, but checking voltage coming out of the panels might help point to a direction to go..
