Active Grill Air Shutter “B” - P05B0
Hey guys I’m new here and hoping to get some wise advice.
I recently got a 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat Turbo Diesel. It had some damage in the front and I had to replace the front grille and this includes both the top and bottom active grill shutters. And everything is working fine, when I turn the car on both the shutters do there little dance by moving up and down. The problem is that I am getting a check engine light, I ran the computer scanner and it’s giving me this code “ P05B0 - Active Grill Air Shutter “B” Position Sensor Minimum/Maximum Stop Performance”. I’ve already tried deleting the code and it comes back after a few miles or so. I’m kind of stuck here because I got my car to pass the salvage inspection after which they gave me 10 days to go out and get the inspection sticker so I’m hoping to find a fix to this check engine light problem sooner rather than later.
If anyone has any sound advice it would be much appreciated, thank you!

You might want to be careful here because there are sensors in the grill that get altered when things get moved and the ADAS system requires recalibration..
Add to that the shutter problem, best to have a qualified shop check your vehicle.
