Hello, I have a problem with my after market rpm gauge. I have two after market gauges, one of which is the rpm, and the other is transmission temperature. The Tran temp gauge works fine but the RPM gauge is getting power but isn't showing the RPM after the truck is started/running. My ford is an 05 STX 4x4 with the 4.6 L engine. There is some odd wires running from the dash to the engine that has black tape rapped around it towards the driver's side door part of the engine. I believe that its just not connected right if this is the problem.

Any help will be much appreciated.
Also if pictures are needed I will send them to assist with this dilema.

I would suggest going online to see if you can get the manual (assuming you don't have one) and make sure the wiring is done correctly.
