Exclamation Broken Yoke with No Replacement

Hello whoever is reading this!

I am in a bit of a pickle, I recently snapped my slip yoke off driving down the highway and dinged up the driveshaft really nice. I was thinking this would be an easy fix but its starting to turn into a bit of a nightmare.
I have gotten my driveshaft rebuilt from a local shop nearby but there does not seem to be a way to obtain a new yoke. I have called FORD and they don't make the part anymore so they said go check a junkyard or order an aftermarket one. I did check a junkyard and pulled a yoke off one of the trucks which looked identical to mine but unfortunately, the diameter of the yoke I pulled does not match my truck.

Does anyone know what aftermarket part I can order to replace this? I am currently burning my budget with a rental car until I can get this straightened out. Any help is great and I appreciate it!!

VIN #: 1FTRF12298KE93395
Part # off FORD website: 4841

Until someone comes up with a more positive suggestion something you might consider,
Just as body shops know where to get parts we would never think were available , different driveshaft shops have connections and know who sells parts they use every day.
Just because one shop may not have contacts to get what you need another driveshaft rebuilder may know who and where to get the right part. Can you check a few of those specialty shops and most of the time they can come up with the odd part.
Also, if you can come up with all the specs, length diameter, no of splines and type any and all the dimensions you can, some salvage yards use teletype to go on to their private network send out those specs and other receiving shops may have one sitting on their shelves. If some junkyard has one ,they reply and your junkyard can arrange to have it shipped to them and you pick it up. There is a little extra cost involved, but you get the right part. Worth looking into.
I don't think you would have any problem buying the whole driveshaft.

Thanks for the advice I will reach out to another shaft shop tomorrow and see what they say. I have not been able to find the whole shaft assembly online for my model.

I looked up the yoke per your VIN and it shows to be available (?). 110.61
Part number shown was 5L3Z-4841-AB
Is that the part # your shop or dealer listed?

These are the best driveline people I know of. It's all they do.

Thanks for the help, the only part # available from the Ford Parts Website was 4841 - I went on a Google spree with your suggested part # and found one on FordPartsGiant.com that says it will fit my model so fingers crossed it will. I put in the order this morning $131 for the yoke and $200 for the rebuilt shaft. Not to shabby if the yoke ends up fitting. Thanks a bunch for your help!

When searching for parts on online Ford, always input your VIN to short list the OE search results.
4841 is just the ‘base’ part number identifying it as a driveline/yoke component and doesn’t take into account the full alphanumeric number prefix/suffix for M/Y ID and any revisions done etc.
Searching 4841 will return many applications since it’s just a base number. Even the rear flange carries a 4841 identifier..

Thanks for the help everyone I got the new shaft today brand new with U-joints and a nice paint job for $262 from a local shop
The slip yoke ended up being $133 after tax for a grand total of $395 for a whole new driveshaft assembly! not bad at all considering its not in production anymore.

If some sorry lost soul such as myself is stumbling for the same slip yoke part, I found one here: https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts...3395&Filter=()
Cheers
