Camshaft Positionn Sensor issue

Camshaft Positionn Sensor issue
1997 F150, 4.2, 190,000 miles. 4X4
The "Check Engine" light is on. Had it checked to find out it is the Camshaft Position Sensor (again). Inspected cap (looks good). Checked for voltage and cannot detect the required 5 volts. Where do I look next?
