Changing oil types

2006 F150 4x4 5.4L 174,000 miles!

Should I change to synthetic oil after this many miles or should I keep using the same standard oil that I’m using? Thanks

There are definitely benefits to using full synthetic motor oil, but with high mileage there could be some problems where it never had a leak before and now it starts to leak.

I have had good luck using Penzoil platinum full synth, and Costco full synth.. in all my vehicles..

I quit using Mobil 1, as it caused a rattle and slight consumption..
